And this time round, I pop into The Pocky - Yes! The O.K. Pocky! :D

It was a Valentine's Day Special (Sorry for the late late-ness) which theme of houses made from different kind of Pocky. Starting from just a delicious stick of Choc coated Stick of Pocky to now, coming in various variety, using of different choc, cream, biscuits - Pocky still remains as its own form - a stick of yummy snacks.

Yes, in SL, I do have an Idol.

Remember my earlier article on Tiny World organised by a Jap creator, Nobunaga Ogee? One day, I was just playing with my tp and landed myself back the the venue, knowing the fact that the event was way over and I might be facing a piece of empty land.

Indeed it was empty but I met someone. I met Nobunaga Ogee himself!

I so want to marry his brain

Although I had learnt Japanese for a year odd, ages ago, I really couldn't bring myself to complete a sentence without inserting English in. Hahahaa... In the end, I gave up and used blabber instead. While I was expressing my admiration to him, I thought that actions speaks louder than words and I did this.... I change into one of his latest creations AV, which I personally name it - GIANT PINK SPERM. Hahahaaa

Mexico ~Chichen Itza~Archeologic, Visit Mexico

Do you know of the 7 wonders of the world? Namely The Leaning Tower of Pisa, Stonehenge, Great Wall of China, etc.

Now, do you know of the voting of the New 7 wonders of the world? Heehee... I don't, until I accidentally tp into here.

This Sim is done up by the Tourism of Mexico, promoting Chichen Itza, an ancient site built by the Maya civilization, as the potentially New 7 wonders of the world. Very good advertising way of promoting but what makes me blog about here are 2 things they have done.

1. They really seriously created replica of Chichen Itza.
2. They have one of the most sophisticated tour for the Sim, very detailed introduction of the Maya civilization and the structures.

Bravo! Bravo! The outstanding effort definitely win my vote and after reading all the possible materials i can get over the net, a good understanding of how useful my vote will be and what we are preserving on this planet earth.

My New Found Friend - The Donkey

A German friend of mine told me that the publicity the Germany media portrays was SL is all about Sex and Money. I can't agree more but I can disagree a LOT MORE. Sex and Money has all along been humans greatest Crave and Guilt but SL is not JUST about those - just look how people created amazingly stunning educational materials just to keep this world connected. I would never know about Chichen Itza if it's not for the SL coverage, and I would definitely be in my 'Must Visit' place in my RL Travelogue.

Insula Maris Zoo (Another Lost Site)

Again, another great place I have missed to blog it in time and also it's gone. (I just tp in there to see)

Nevertheless, I am still going to display all the wonderful shots I have taken back then. Got this LM from Benz, who simply just can't stop watching the animals. Haahahaa...

It was one of the best zoo I have been to in SL and it was a decent layout - lots of rooms for the animals to roam around and the best part is - there is a notecard for each animal there, giving a description of the various species. A rather educational visit and I enjoyed it tremendously.

TINY WORLD

In my previous entry, I was totally into tinies, esp those created by the Jap. Just yesterday, while roaming around a Jap sim - i saw this poster. Though I don't really understand what was written on it, but it seemed like an exhibit poster. And so, I clicked and tp out.

OMG! It's an exhibit organised by 2 of my favourite creators - Nobunaga Ogee and Cue Fride, showcasing their work and the rest of the creators. Some are 1st timer but I must say, the Japs are great with creativity, just look at the Tinies AV! Kawaii!!!!!!!!!!

I strongly invite all of you to hop in there and admire their creations, and you can purchase what you see, at such affordable prices too!!! Joeru had bought half of what was being showcased there. argh!

This exhibit will definitely made your stay in SL more worthwhile.

Madcow Cosmos 14 Days 14 Sculptures - DAY 11

On Day 11, it has become a date with Madcow whenever I'm in OB. Well, NOT a date with Madcow himself but rather with the skeletons. heehee

My Date - Big Bones

My favourite for today is the Book Worm - love the way it pops out from the book.

All the pieces tonight are different studies of skeletons bt each is very different. The first piece is the Mamoth, I wanted to explore the interesting shape and the weight distribution of an elephant skeleton. I was hoping the end result would have a nice natural history muesum look and I think I achieved it. The big one is called Stalking Dragon. My goal with it was to produce a very dramatic pose. I wanted it to look like it was slinking in and had just spotted its prey. I was very pleased with the final result and it helped me put a little more action into the pieces taht came after it. The next to pieces where both created for exhibits that had under 200 prims to play with. Both are fantasy themed, one coming out of the ground the other coming from a book. I especially enjoyed the book theme as I have always loved old books and the story of magical tomes.

Madcow Cosmos 14 Days 14 Sculptures - DAY 9

When I got notice from the group notice of Oyster Bay (OB), I was so excited. Under The Sea, a song from the disney movie - The Little Mermaid, it so happens that 1 of my favourite movies of all times, I quickly dressed up in Scuba gear and suit and hopped straight to OB.

Before anything can be rezzed, I jumped straight into the water and guess what, I see no Madcow's scupltures. They are - as usual - at the main gallery and I stood there, feeling all together hungry. Haahaaa...

Under the Sea is the correct theme as I saw lobster, shrimp, hermit, seahorses and erm... some kind microscobic creature.

I IM-ed Morris to give him a piece of my mind as I was so dressed for the theme and he was ROFL when he knew i came to OB in scuba outfit. ARgh! Do I look that funnY!?

I simply love today's theme.

Segmented bodies are one of the easiest things to build with the SL building tools, as such I cant resist knocking a couple out when I am feeling creative but too sleepy to consentrate. I really enjoy the curves present on the undersea life and the torus is easily the most noble of the prims. The most colorful piece is called Sea Carriage it has uncharacteristically good texturing for me I feel, as most of my textures are done more as a second thought because I build in most details in prim form. It was made when I was in a particularly happy mood and I hope that shows through on it a bit. The Hermit Chariot is another farily cheerfull piece, I always imagine its lantern glowing brightly as it makes it way along coral lanes (its lantern does actually glow of course). The Next two are the rideing prawn (never enough prawn in SL) and the lobster wagon. Both were done as part of a undersea ranch theme as I can't resist occasionaly mixing unlikely generes in a random fashion. It you want to know what the wagon is hauling is just rocks, its a rock lobster probably. The final one draws back to some earlier oceans it was done entirely for foggy memory so its an impression of a sea scropion rather than the thing itself. I really enjoy prehistoric creatures many of them have a disticntcly unlikely look to me. As I write this someone just shouted I should make a trilobyte which will certainly make it into my idea list for future builds. So from the deck of the Calipso I bid you fairwell for tonight, hope you enjoy the art.

I have to cut short cos I'm rushing for posting. Below is the Madcow's Notecard: -

Todays pieces are unified in the fact that a consider them more classically "artistic" in the thought process behind them. These pieces are designed with a clear thought or message I want to express when they are finished. I am particularly tired tonight so bare with my typos if you will. The largest on is called Small Fights. Humans are continually writing stories about epic heroes and larger than life events. Dramas playing out on the scale of gods. While we do this the world around us and beneath our notice plays out its own wars, struggles, and dramas as great as any of our writing. So while we tell our tales and get worked up about bad hair days the worlds vast majority of smaller creatures play out very real life and death struggles, in our back yards, our trash cans, and almost always below our notice. The very primmy puzzle box is titled fetters. The concept behind it is simple, a beautiful box with golden chain holds in some unseen content that looks like if it where to abandon the box it could escape. The box of course are all those beautifull fetters, seductive things that keep you down. The piece is a question to the viewer, asking what those are and if the viewer can escape them. Also it glows in the dark, how cool is that? The final one is from a series of valentines day sculptures I did. People always talk about giving their hearts away and this piece take it seriously. I like the contrast of higher concepts like love and devotion versus the frail and tempary flesh. Love might be eternal but our hearts have only so many beats in them, we are short lived and creatures made of pumps and protien factories.

A BIG MANGA/ANIME Fan I am, I felt so animated when I took this shot. Don't you think that I posed like one of the characters in Gundam, when they are standing on their machine, looking all brave and full of power? Haahaaa

Another remarkable works from Madcow (MC for short), the theme today is Steam Punk and somehow, it reminds me of the Movie - Steamboy by Hayo Miyazaki.

"By land, sea, or air; I still call it steam punk:
Steam punk is among my very favorite styles to build in. First off its an incredibly varied style, from the very historically acurate pieces, things fueled by the fiction of the victorian era, to fantasy dwarves with magical steam engines its a expansive genere. This leads to a lot of possiblities for freedom and artistic enjoyment. The gadgets and the detail also big draws for me as well as anything I feel like doing I feel like doing with a few hundred prims. Steam punk is also a style that enjoys the epic, titanic sized land vessles to match those of the sea. As such you can't ask for a closer match to my building style and no steam punk builder is short on inspiration in SL with some of the exceptionaly friendly communities centered around it."

I was extremely lazy than before, and the moment I stepped into OB to continue the saga of Madcow's sculptures, i stopped short. DAMN! My system is starting to fail me, I took almost a minute or so to complete the whole rezzing! (Joeru needs more ram!)

The theme for today is HOUSE, not that TV series HOUSE of course but the ones we live with a roof over our heads.

My favourite of all - the Birdy House - which I found out was base on a myth character, Baba Yaga. Madcow always attach a notecard on each day's exhibit (I noticed it only now!)

"I'm no engineer, I am not an master of floorplans, and I am not the person you want to build your house if you want to actually move around in it or use it. I build art houses because SL is a place where you don't really need to live in a house anyways and it helps me reach my goal of encouragign people to play around on my creations. These objects are art first and such petty concernes as function a distant thrid (don't ask me what second is). The largest one I call Cart of Doom. The idea is a house that is actually a house , or at least a fortress, but put in a very different and fantastic context which helps taking it out of its element. The next two, the Alarming house and the Wine House, are based on taking everyday objects and turning them into homes. Kind of like some strange functional still life. Its nice when you can turn an everyday object on its head. The final one is a steam punk version of a fictional house Baba Yaga's Hut. It's nice to occasionally borrow from others peoples imagination and give it a flar of my own. I decided I was in the mood for a bit of a steam punk build and just went for it. So the next time you are thinking of a house, remember there are peole in SL who really design houses, but consider putting one of mine out on the lawn."

In March, there was an entry on finding people from my homeland. Since then, I have known many of them and keep in close contacts.

Now, officially, I have a home of my own. A group of us who are taking SL seriously got together and bought a sim together. The sim will be divided into island where each of us can develop the way we desire.

Kaki is a Malay word, which means friends/buddies. Just the perfect description of us at Kakis Isles.

Excitement is building up every single log-in and construction is underway. A blog site was dedicated to the Isles, up-to-date on what's the development and interesting happenings.

Madcow Cosmos 14 Days 14 Sculptures - DAY 4

I need to say this here... I think...

I'M IN LOVE!!!

I know this is just a one-sided love but I can't help it. Blame it on Madcow. He seduced me with his quick-ed change of AVs, from this long-legged Daddy machine to this steam run Robot.

We LOok Like A Great Couple

Well, to be precise, it's just one-sided love but I'm contented, because I have the chance to witness Madcow's works! BTW, I love men with their brains and talent, not bodies. Haahaaa

Today's theme is the Battle in the Insects Kingdom.

One praying mantis with a spider covering the top of OB gallery, they seem like peeking over the pillars looking at the arriving guests. On the ground were an Avatar size robotic spider and a fighter Praying Mantis. Having avatar size sculptures are fun to be around with, for photo taking and also better to zoom into the details of each sculpture.

Had a quick chat with Morris & Madcow (M&M), I reallied why there was a notice that said, It's alright to touch the sculptures. Apparently, many people thought that in SL, sculptures are not meant to be touch. (Joeru is now wondering if that's the case, she must have been blacklisted in many places then.) One can't experience the Madcow's madness in creation WITHOUT being on/in it. Almost all of them can be ridden and built for exploring. It will be such a waste to just stand and watch. Argh!

Everyday, there is always new meaning in going into OB to watch the next display.

Madcow Cosmos 14 Days 14 Sculptures - DAY 2

During my travels, I always come across buildings, structures, almost anything that looks peculiarly eye-catching. I can't really get into my mind how the creators can twist and turn a prim into desirable shape of their choice. Of course, to be able to do that, the amount of time devotion and enthusiasm must be 1 of the few elements for building.

That is why, I'm going to launch a 14 days photos chase (rather, it's 13 days, cos I missed Day 1), and my target is Madcow Cosmos. No... I'm no paparazzi, neither am I a stalker... but He is worth the chase and the reason is simple. See below.

The moment I tp to OB, I again dropped my jaws and kept screaming - THIS IS CRAZY! I WANT TO TAKE SHOTS NOW! Haahaaa

MASSIVE sculpture of a Gigantic Robot Dog (I think), that's roughly 1,000 prims and the height is 150m above ground. Just look how tiny I was with it. Also, I noticed that the whole scupltures run by even numbers, the numbers of teeth in the mouth, in the wheels, the steps and ladders, etc. Heehee Silly Joeru noticing silly stuffs.

Morris was such a darling and arranged a meet up with the creator himself. Man... the creator is as shocking as his sculptures but I fall in love with it (erm... him) instantly. His AV is a skeleton of a flying bird and I have never ever came across such absolute detailed structures! As mentioned in his profile - he enjoys building skeletons (that explains) and HE'S GOOD!

P.S. I always here people saying: 'So, what can I do in SL?. Damn! You can do anything and everything your heart desire! Just open your eyes and heart and look around! There's beauty everywhere! Not just boobs and hunks. Haahaaa

I'm always been intrigued with Japanese animations and manga, the cuteness of the characters and the intense storyline each animations have and the message within.

When I was in SL, one of the first few things I was in quest of searching for Japanese, or strictly speaking, Japanese creations and recently, I found this street and her.

Joeru as Little Cyber Witch

Just the street for tinies and I found 2 of my favourite creators' works and store - Nobunaga Ogee's Kuroboro Works & Cue Fride's Cueque Factory.

I fell in love with the robot - KX-01 Tiny Robot, one of the earlier creations, even brought lots of attention when I go dancing as the Robot. Follow on is the Little Witch, that's was what I was when I visited the street.

The whole street is scaled for the tinies and featured quite a number of Japanese creators for tinies. It makes the tinies feel like the world of their own.

I took the chance to hop to the creator's store and guess what i saw - GIANT WITCH! Haahaa.... There was even a pose at the hand of the witch so I wasted no chance and taken a few shots. 可愛い!!!

Isn't it so modern and easy to tell people how we are always busy, not enough time to do the things that we want to do, let alone a smoke or toilet break? Haahaa... I'm sure you have heard or used such expression every so often.

As long as you exist in this era, you will never find time for things that you want or wish to do, because you always find something ELSE that will catch your concentration and you find it almost unattainable to reach your destination.

And that is why, I have included a dear person into this modest blog. I have been labeling myself with the word busy, despite half the time I'm just ending up NOT completing what I'm supposed to do and my little feet haven't been bringing me to places. This is where Benz Bryke appears - an amazingly motivated chap in SL, he has been to places I haven't even heard of (so ashamed to say I'm a traveller now) and his collections of photos are catching mine in hundreds.

I offered him a space to display his photos here in this blog site, but being a shy personality as he always claimed he is, he kindly rejected the offer. I was racking my brain for a good title for this piece, but after a brief struggle with the name I came up with, I chose this - HOME. Simple and to the point.

A good friend of mine, the Barman from The SANDS, charismatic personality with exquisite knowledge of the world, Gilligan Novi is the man.

As I have mentioned in one of my past articles, The SANDS have relocated themselves to their very own Sims - one for leisure where all the dancing and shopping is, the other one is residential. Gilligan is now residing here.

Built by getfamous Xeno, one of the owners of THE SANDS, its contemporary design, sand white walls with dark rose wooden floors, one can easily fall in love with such possession. I do hope that getfamous will start selling his range of houses and furniture - they are too good to be missed.

Sitting on the beach lounge chair facing the calm waves of the sea, one could watch the glowing sunset while reading a book, working on the notebook (like I did) or simply lie back to relax.

On the ground floor, simple furniture with a 24" iMac showing off its fabulous photos, with a door that brings you to - The Four Walls of Picasso - with paintings like Le baiser and three others, it's a quiet room to share with friends of similar interests in arts and life.

First floor - balcony of lovable soft couches with nice little fire, a great invitation for a nice glass of champagne and sweet Chocolat, warmness from the fire, coolness from the sea breeze. If it's a little chill, just walk back into the worldly room, where a globe of our planet Earth was spinning in mid-air. Oh! And this is my favorite, the Start Gazer- telescope.

Clearly, my dear Gilligan has planned out what he wants to do with the home and I always feel welcoming and warm whenever I pop into his place. You might be wondering why I featured Gilligan's Home in my blog... cos he asked me to. Haahaaa... A good chance for me to practice me interior photography, I took his offer and present this to you.

In SL, we often see people profiles say: 'Whatever happens in SL stays in SL.' As much as I understand the meaning behind it, I feel that friendship should stay wherever it takes us. Doesn't all that looks familiar? :)

No... He's not attending a ball or asking me for a dance...

We are just having a meet up, and the gentleman who happened to be with me was Seeker Gray.

Yes, The Seeker Gray that created secondseeker.com, together with Sherpa Voyager, a site that reviews places, people, events, almost anything under the sun and moon in SL.

How did we end up meeting each other? Ah.... *Joeru is now taking out her grandmom's style glasses, sitting down on the rocking chair with a nice cushion behind her back, a hot cup of coffee in her hands... and the story goes like this...*

One fine day, I received an email from Seeker, an email which took me quite a while to understand the whole message. You see, the paragraphing of the email looks like a 2-way conversations and I couldn't figure out which is which. After pacing up and down the stairs of my home, Smart ass me replied with what I think was the content all about. Haahaaa... Well... evidently, I wasn't too far off.

A very refined gentleman Seeker is and I was rather shy, though trying to keep my calm as much as I can concealed. In the email, it seems that Seeker has been to my blog, love what I am doing and intend to invite me to join secondseeker, covering the Live Music Events and that's exactly what it was, confirmed face to face by Seeker (see, told you I wasn't far off).

I went on mentioning that the initial email did got me confused for a while (a long while), based on the layout of it and the story unfolds right here, right now.

That email was copied off from a comment in slashdot site - a technology news site on Linux and Open Source Issues, or normally known as a geek site. (I LOVE GEEKS!) There was an article written about Second Life on the whole, discussing why people are hook to it and what people can do in Second Life. Seeker commented in that article, introducing secondseeker to people to let them kick-start some of the places that was recommended. An anonymous replied Seeker's comment, suggested secondseeker to cover Live Music in SL, dropped a few names and guess what... the anonymous pasted a link to MY blog! *Joeru is trying to catch her breath now*

Naturally, Seeker thought that this anonymous person was me, went thru my site and that was how we arranged the meet up. My mind was racing thru the list of friends I have, narrowing down the geeks and trying to figure out who wrote that. Haahaa... Seeker and I just sat there, stared at each other, and started laughing. 'Looks like you got yourself a secret admirer, Joeru.' Seeker said. I blushed.

I took the offer, as it is a great opportunity for my writing and also a direct porter to understanding music and another wonder of what Second Life can provide to the residents. But that would means less sleep for me as most Live Music Events take place in PST. Haahaaa... I will survive!

My first article was on AldoManutio Abruzzo, a well known ambient musician, a passionate music maker. I had received many comments thru friends, with encouragement and suggestions and I thank you all.

Two Weeks of MIA, I feel so bad about it. Lots of things happened - lots of stories to tell, lots of photos are lagging behind.

With all that, let me start of the 1st article for this month - Lauks Nest created by Laukosarga, Alviso.

Laukosargas Svarog - familiar? Haaha.. Yes - I'm sure most of us have been to Svarga - breathtaking castle and walls all around, that was the creation of Laukosargas Svarog. Lauks Nest was created by her too. :)

A little island on itself, it is filled with greenery, bricks and wooden bamboo stairs and little hideouts to be discovered. Sneaky Joeru did manage to find 1 of them and stayed there for more than 20 mins and you will know by looking at the photo below.

Lit with scattered fire lights, a little bench in the middle, cobweb at a corner of the stone cave where I see no spider (must be out taking it's walks) and while sitting on the bench, in front of me is the Christ. Despite all dark and damp the small cave, I don't feel a moment of leaving yet, just glared around, staring at the ray of light breaking thru the cracks into the cave. I felt the wonder of SL again at this moment, a combination of little details in a cave could create the emotion that felt as still as a ripple-less pond of water.

While exploring the rest of the island, I couldn't help noticing a thio flowers - comes with green, blue, purple, they always managed to pop their little heads, as if they are little kids, curious of the new traveller yet shy to walk out.

Owner and administrator - Lukas Mensing was very kind to let me take photos, a nice Swedish guy. He has formed a Group call "So Else", do remember to pop into Lauks Nest to read more from the notecard he has written.

Joeru is once again on the move.

LAST Night at THE SANDS @ Auville Heights

Today, 31st March 2007 - marks the Last Day THE SANDS is at Auville Heights. Many aspects have forced Owner Dean & Emilia to do so but the GOOD NEWS is a SANDS island is on it's way to its launching date. :D

The Notice ~ Nearly cried after seeing this... :(

Dean ends the last day with a big Dance Party - with a very special DJ attending the event *@ this point, I'm still waiting for his appearance, so no foto yet* and what a great dance party it was.

Despite all SANDS members knew about the new island, all of us - I bet, felt a certain sadness to celebrate the last night. THE SANDS @ Auville Heights had brought us many great fond memories and fun times; times where someone will ALWAYS get drunk, some nuts would display some funny acts, and of course, lots of screams, wolfy cries, babes and hunks. Oh! And not forgetting the never-ending great music to keep our dancing shoes on at all times.

Sovereignty of Thunder - Unique , Thunder

Most LM I get was either thru my explore trips or recommended by friends. But this place - I was being drawn to.

I was on my expedition of looking for a place to call 'home' and thru some search, i came to here. Actually, I was looking at the cottages nearby but immediately lost my purpose and stared in amuse of this place - Sovereignty of Thunder.

What's the best way of describing the place... I’m not good with words but I feel I’m in my dream homeland. I always wanted a cottage house, with my own vegetable garden, a little orchard, lots of flowers, etc. In Sovereignty of Thunder, instead of cottage, there are castles. Haahaa... The rest of the land is just a dream land come true.

Oh? What Is That?!

The one thing unique and distinctive about Sovereignty of Thunder is - crystals. Crystals by the side of the cliff, crystals-like lamps to light up the path, no matter which mode of the time you set - the whole place is beautifully lit up and dreamingly opens in front of your eyes.

This LM has been given to me ages ago but I didn't notice it till recently while clearing out my Landmarks folder. What a good thing I did do the spring-cleaning cos I would have missed out such a wonderful place.

According to the Land Owner - Sue Stonebender's write out, this lovely place is a SIM based on Phantom of the Opera theme, and indeed it feels like I'm part of the musical too.

I took a little ride on my little bicycle, strolling along the brick path to towards the Theater House... the journey feels of age and grace.

ADDICTS!!!

Today, the Main Grid is down for maintence, and using this opportunity, Linden encouraged all SL-ers to try out their Beta Test Grid. Out of curiosity, I went to give it a try.

Getting into the grid has proved much difficilties and suddenly it striked me - AREN'T WE ALL ADDICTS! Almost EVERYONE is in there and due to the huge traffic, everyone of us are stuck in the Linden Welcome Village (I think) and we all LOOK THE SAME! Haahaaa.

A friend of mine I know in SL said: I live in SL, play the RL game. (Hope she hasn't patent this sentence). People, how true is that!

Sl is like RL, depending on your nationality, you would try to find a sim or places where u can speak the same language. Not necessarily you can communicate in universally known English, sometimes, you just want to be be close to home.

I have been searching people in SL from my homeland, or even a land, a hangout but it wasn't till recently i found this place open.

Thinc Cafe & Beach Bar - a small designer cafe, filled with retro feels, cube-size concept living space and of course, SL-ers from my homeland. Haahaaa

I met and chatted with them in "Singlish", a not publicly known language which 99.99% of the citizens in my homeland speak. :P

With our modern lifestyles and expectations, we constantly driving ourselves or rather, been driven to work 24/7 if our life permit us to. There is a common joke I used to tell me colleagues: 'DO you know? I seen you even more often then I get to see my family, so right now, you guys are the closest to me than anyone! Haahaa'.

The 1st reaction I got when i TP this Heart Dew is - It's SO QUIET! The only thing I can hear is the waves and the birds. And no matter where you walk to, you will always see the hut, situated in the centre of the little island.

'Traveler there is no way, you make your way by walking...'

Okie, this might be a great thing to me, so I need to take a deep breath.

Here goes... I HAVE AN EXHIBITION IN SL!!!!!!

Well, it's an exhibition together with 2 people (plus me, that's 3) @ THE SANDS. The 1st floor consists of Emilia's pieces (Ms Owner of THE SANDS) and the 2nd floor has both Ludwig & my pieces. Emilia and Ludwig have really great RL photos on display and sales while being an amateur to photography, I have only reasonable SL photos.

So anytime you are free, just TP to THE SANDS, or send me an IM.

This might sounds like a Oscar award winning speech but I have to say:-

Avilion Grove Avilion Castle, Avilion Grove

Avilion Isle, consists of two parts - Avilion Grove and Avilion Mist. At the castle, there is the most marvelous dance floor I have ever seen in SL. Waltzing on the dance floor, watching your partner and your reflections on the floor - it's a great place to exchange words of love.

Surrounding the whole island is tall mountain with streams of waterfalls where there are visible yet quiet caves where you can rest your dancing feet when you are tired.

Across the castle, is the Avilion Mist, a Medieval Fantasy Role-play zone. Role-playing is still something that I still new to the game but luckily, as long as you behave yourself, troubles wouldn't find you. Instead - on a couple of occasions of photo shots sessions, I met many non-humans characters that offered to show me the place and explaining the rules. I was a very good girl. hahahaa

Among all the greenery, there are hidden splendid spots waiting just for you to find. One more time, flying is not allowed in here. Haahaaa... so make use of your two little feet! Trust me, it's worth all the walking.

If you look into my profile, you would realize that besides taking photos, I love jazz too and during my lazy moments (which has been very frequent these days), you can find me in jazz lounges.

Every now and then, I will hit the Search button to scout for more jazz lounges. This place got me stuck to it.

THE SANDS - a beach club, a jazz lounge, a design hotel too. The architecture is somewhat like a resort in most sunny islands but to see one in sl as real as rl - it's heavenly.

It's a contemporary clean savvy structure, responsive owners Dean & Emilia, 1 of the best house music, great DJs like Phelan Streeter.

OH! Not forgetting to say this, look out for the bartender. If there is a Best Bartender Award - it has to go to Gilligan Novi. I have never been to a lounge where there is a live bartender around - even if there are, they normally keep to themselves. But no... not for Gilligan. He actually comes out behind the bar table - makes his round around the lounge and greet every single on of us at the seat, asking if he can bring us any drinks. THAT is what I call service! One more thing - guys and gals - Gilligan is cute looking too! A bonus! haahaa

Art at Oyster Bay - Aquarium

As promised, The Wonder of Underwater world of Oyster Bay is here.

To be exact, this is a new layout of the aquarium. The first one had 2 floors, rather spacious. The current one is a long full glass cylinder where every other step you take, you will be exposed to the fascinating world of marine life.

1 of my favorite artist - Nia Becloud, created the Seahorse which I totally fall heard over heels over it. Owner Morris Vig shown me before the completion of the aquarium and guess what, he has the miniature of the seahorse on his shoulder! I was totally green with envy! Haahaa I strongly urge you to visit the Seahorse cos it's one of the rare beauty for a marine life. Close in, it will mesmerize you with its fins.

Are there times where you feel you want to turn back time? I do, many a times, esp for now.

Due to my laziness and time spent in jazz lounges, I have missed a few features which I intend to line up these few days. Before I can say ops... 1 such place has already gone and sold.

Kaze Yama (Wind of the Mountain) - is one place where i can take slow stroll all round and get some peace away from rl and sl too. It's a pity that I can't no longer lead you to the beauty and serenity of the place and the best I can do now is to show the photos I have captured.

Lesson Learned - DON'T WAIT AND MOVE MY BUTT!!! (my fingers to be exact) Even in sl, there are many things and places that doesn't last for anyone.

In SL, I have to long run friends. When I said long run, it means I have known them since the beginning of sl life. 1 of them is Riso which I featured him in Portraits where tons of people is asking about him. Haahaa... I did take great portrait of him; and the other 1 is Caly - a surfer dude! (Ladies, don't worry, you will get to see him in action, at least in my photos. Haahaa)

He was the one that taught me to surf, great sport and great time to show off my bikinis!

Well, I got invited to a Surf Gathering at a place call Chi. Poid and Sally, the owners of Chi have created a great beach, not stopping short at just the beach of course. There was a demonstration on surfing by the Namiko Team Riders, great stunts most of them have done, which boosted me to practice hard! Argh!

How did I find this place? I did a search for somewhere fill with sun, sand, beach, oceans, waves and 'bay' was the tag.

As shown on the header, it's an art display gallery, a pretty big one too. It's a place where many amazing sculptures are on display and sale too. Not only that, there is this amazing underwater aquarium! Kind of remind me of my homeland's underwater world, with fishes swimming all round me. Right now, the owner of Oyster Bay - Morris Vig, is re-constructing the whole aquarium though I love to show you more of the place now. Part II of Oyster Bay on the Aquarium is underway.

Aphrodite - The Goddess of Love, Beauty & Sexuality

That's what Lamorna Proctor's paintings made me feel.

We actually met by accident. Haahaa I was shopping for new short hair and while making my decisions b/w this to that, I received a 'hi'. What caught my attention was her nice blonde hair, slightly platinum, and follow on was her arms - they are mechanical. The first thing that came to my mind was - this must be anther hybrid new gene, really cool.

Lamorna Proctor is a painter, a brilliant one and she is born without arms, both in rl and sl. Amazingly, she created her avatar just like her and she uses her feet to do all the chatting!

She brought her rl paintings into sl, have a nice gallery and she told me she has been getting many responses in sales and also been invited to put her paintings in many well-known galleries in SL. (I knew that well because I was with her when one of the art gallery owners approach her.)

Lamorna asked me: Which painting do I fancy?

I'm not an arts person but the warm color and the holding onto each other's gesture just make me want to... feel loved.

My photos might not bring out the brilliant of her paintings and I would strongly suggest to all the readers to visit her gallery. Lamorna should be around most of the time and I'm sure she will be delighted to enjoy chats with any of you.

How I found this place? I used Search Button and key in 'elf''. I'm always amused by the enchanting beings and anything, everything could happen and seen in sl.

Great landscaping, I suddenly becomes a fanatic over stairs/steps. All round the island, there are steps all around, fix to the side of the mountains, letting you able to take a good stroll in and round the island, surrounded with greenery and tranquility.

Oh! DO remember to take a little boat ride at the Elflands' Ferry, an alternative if you are lazy to walk. :P

More locations coming up, I'm just getting slow in arranging my photo these days. Not to worry, I'm bucking up! Do look forward for more!

I did, and my reply was: 'I'm curious how this virtual world is and guess what, I'm addicted. Haahaa'

'What do you do in sl then?', was the next question.

'Erm... to interact with people, to get dressed up real pretty (vain!), anything that I can do in sl, I will do it! Haahaaa'

Example, I love to dance, love jazz. Unfortunately, my legs and arms in rl aren't very co -operative. So it was magical to see 'me' dancing and gracing on the dance floor. :)

Big Friendly Forest Spirit - Totoro

I want to make the first article of the year special, so I feature this.

For most Asians and many Anime Crazes, He is a very familiar face.

Totoro is the name, a character created in a film by Hayao Miyazaki, one of my favourite animator. Read about it here.

Some SL-ers don't know what I was (I changed into Totoro), some called me Giant Mole, hahaha... Though it sounds quite scary. Got this avatar from a Avatar store I accidentally tp to but couldn't find it again. If you know, send me the LM. :)

Midnight Reflections

Ever since I started putting my site in my profile, there are people out there sending me links of places they been to, or heard of, where it might get my attention to take snaps. A BIG THANK YOU to all of you!

Now, this place is one of the recommended Landmark, another enchanting waterfall series. Being in SL, it's nice to feel like wonder-person and start flying around but in places like this, it's perfect to be just human enough to walk the pathways.

Recommendation of enjoying this place: Zoom In to MouseLook and walk your way around, look around you, listen to the waterfalls, the atmosphere, it's heavenly.

I guess it's just me - I just don't really take photos of myself very much whenever i was exploring around SL. Well, maybe some but not that often. Haahaa...

The point is, I was asked by a friend this: How come there is no photo in my SL Profile?

Yes, it has always been a big cross in the grey box and I'm a cheap-po, I don't wish to spend L$ for loading photo. Haahaa! Kawaii? Familiar?

Yeah, cos recently I featured on place in Kawaii. This is the second place. At Shinagawa, I met Dithean Ringo's dear friend, Charles Nighbor, and he invited me to his place.

It was sculptured by Dithean Ringo herself and this place is a place where both Ms Meadowbrook and Charles entertain their clients, not neglecting the fact that this place is designed according to what both of them want. Quiet place, where they are relax and enjoy the sea.

Oh! And there is Kitty, the cat in both RL and SL of Charles Nighbor and found her hiding somewhere. Hm... Can you see her?

If there is lawsuit in SL, I'm sure getting a lot of cases, not because I'm a lawyer but because I will be sue by many owners. Haahaa... This feature place is ANOTHER location I trespassed! YES! I did it again! Argh!

But I'm lucky as usual, I met a really nice lady, who is of course 1 of the owners of the place.

It's no wonder she was suspicious of me, for one thing, I was standing at 1 location NOT moving, staring at afar. Haahaa (I was taking photos, as usual) I should have seeked permission when I want to take photos, matter of politeness. Just one thing, 'how do I know that the area belongs to who?' 'Click the Land' is the trick.

After telling her my intention, she whole-fully invited me to take some photos and told me about the place.

It's actually replica of the in-fracture of buildings in the Heian era! (Read info here) NOW, that explains very well why I was attracted to the place in the first place, it's really different from the Japanese locations I have been to. The whole place is so peaceful and tranquility, which is exactly what Heian means. I can be in Mouselook mode all the time while strolling thru the garden and the buildings!

I had a good time and chat with Dithean Ringo (The lady of the place, The Ringo Family) and a dear friend of hers, Charles Nighbor, another wonderful person who invited me to his place, which was created by Dithean Ringo too! Look forward to more pictures for that.

Aren't we all searching for peace, for answers, for relieve or for understanding? SL is as much as RL and I happened to trespass one.

Friend told me that there is this place that might get my attention for photography and with all mighty curious heart, I tp straight away.

I found the temple.

The first thing that comes to my mind was - hey, it looks like that Japanese comic I used to love and read - Dragon Ball. The temple looks like the place where Wukong and Wufan had their training up at the heaven's temple, where Keda was there too. (refer to here)

One day in SL, a friend asked: 'Have you ever seen dragons before?'. My answer was: 'yeah, in the movies.'
Apparently, that wasn't what he was asking me about. There are DRAGONS in SL!

Every other day, there is bound to be surprise awaiting to be found in SL, but due to the recent SL revive period, their 'Search' aren't helping me at all. Hope it will be norm and smooth again.

The Garden, State of Mind

Just one garden, there are ice rink, lovely 'in the mountain' garden, nice quite beach, some underwater ruins (I think it's here) and nice music all round. I did slightly fall in love with this place when I first arrived, this is the place where i first wake boarding.

The Lost Gardens of Apollo

This is one of the MUST GO places in SL.

When I was TP there, I couldn't help but staring at the view with mouth open, in RL. Fantasy stories and movies never fail to make an impression into my mind and this is one of the breathtaking places I have been to so far.

Enjoy the enchantment as much as I have while taking lots of pictures, better still, visit the place!

Always Chasing Rainbows

One of songs from Judy Garlands collections. One of my favourite idols.

Being a huge Manga fanz, the 1st thought that came to my mind was, it's there Little Japan in SL? Well, do far, I had found a few but I would like to show you here.

This place has always been isolated whenever I visit. Maybe the place is too quiet and stuffs but I find it relaxing and the houses and structures being built there are as real as any suburb of Japan. Do take a look, it's pretty decent.

As I have mentioned, it's pretty easy to get hitch in SL, and of course, as reality as in RL, there are people in SL go more than just kinky knowledge, they just want to have fun and make friends, sharing similar hobbies.

As a newbie, almost every other thing in SL is enthralling. During one of my ventures, I met up this guy. After a few chats, he told me of many places he had been to and worth seeing. Below is one of them.

According to my LM, the place is call Someplace Nice Park, Grahica. Straight to the point, it's a space caves garden.

While exploring, i accidentally fell straight down! Being a newbie, I have no idea that I can't fly if I'm way to high up, and so i fell. Straight down to another LM. That is where I found - Servant's of Lolth~dark elves, Grahica.

Nude Beach - Laguna Beach Club

I love beaches! Love the sun, love the sounds make by the waves and also the crowds!

Nude Beach is one of the places i visited on the first day in SL. Mind you, if you do not have a strong system, it will take quite a while for you to finish loading the place.

This is the place where everyone gets hitch easily, so if you are looking for people, tons of them, be there.

If you prefer somewhere quieter, great stars, just walk towards SouthEast of Nude Beach and you will reach Laguna Beach Club. I love the nighttime at the beach.

Second Life. There are people asking all kind of questions. 'Why play Second Life (SL)?', 'Isn’t Real Life (RL) hectic, chaotic enough to be playing another life?', 'Only people who are bored with RL play SL.', et cetera, et cetera. SL is a real time interactive world where people build what they want, own what they want, fulfill whatever fantasies they want if possible & be what they want.

SL is as similar as RL, just adding a little fun like having Fantasy Lands, Fetish Castles, Sunny All Day Beaches, Enchanting Forests, Dragons, friendly people (not forgetting some assholes) and as much reality as RL like owning lands, getting a house, clothes oneself or get that gorgeous body parts to make one's Avatar stands out.

SL is a game, so much so that any kind of imaginations humans have are incorporated in SL. Don't be surprise to see nude Avatars walking around, or having threesomes, orgy in an ancient castle. It's that fancy. There is always something somewhere that fit your kind of world you want to be, if not, you can create one!

I started this little gallery as an appreciation to all the creators in SL and share what I see in SL thru the photos. I couldn't help admiring them for creating places that really mesmerize me. I love the interaction in SL but what I love most is the great view I always have whenever I was Landmark (LM) hopping. All thankz to the Snapshot Function (and the power of my graphic card), I was able to take photos which I couldn't help being excited. Bluntly, I was hoping to get some orders to fund my dream house in SL.; p

For those who heard about SL for the first time thru my blog, and you have some extra time at your hand, give this game a try. But if you got addictive to it for whatever reasons, don't blame me. Heehee...
